Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Check that the printer is turned on, connected, and free of errors. Windows Printers and Scanners select the correct device and its queue; if your version includes Use Printer Offline or Pause Printing, disable these options. Compare the printer's current IP with the record in use. The queue menu does not look the same in all versions of Windows.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Device and network connection
Verify that the printer is enabled and available on that local network.
Steps to follow
- Check which Wi-Fi it is connected to in the printer's network menu or official application.
- On the computer, select the same main local network, not the isolated Guest.
- Turn on the printer and print a test sheet. If different subnets are specially defined, coordinate the settings with the administrator.
Queue mode of operation
If your version of Windows has Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline, disable the option that is not enabled properly.
Steps to follow
- Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
- Select Bluetooth and devices.
- Select "Printers and Scanners".
- Select the printer and open its queue.
- If your version has a Printer menu with "Use Printer Offline" or "Pause Printing", uncheck those enabled options.
- If these points are not there, do not look for them in the registry - check the real connection of the device. Send one test sheet.
IP record update
If the printer's address has changed, update its connection record with the actual address.
Steps to follow
- Read the current IP address on the printer's network information sheet or display; refer to the model manual for the menu.
- Windows Printers and Scanners note the name and driver of the old entry.
- Select Add device; if not found, manual addition based on known TCP/IP address if system offers. Enter the real address of the printer.
- Finish with the model manager and print the test. Do not change active entries or network settings for everyone.
If the problem persists
Compare the printer's current IP with the computer's print record. If the IP has changed, connect the device again; guest network or sleep mode may interfere with detection.
