Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
The computer and printer must normally be accessible on the same local network; guest Wi-Fi isolation may block printing.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Same local network
Connect the printer and computer to a basic, mutually accessible network.
Steps to follow
- Check which Wi-Fi it is connected to in the printer's network menu or official application.
- On the computer, select the same main local network, not the isolated Guest.
- Turn on the printer and print a test sheet. If different subnets are specially defined, coordinate the settings with the administrator.
Access to managed subnets
If the devices are intentionally on different VLANs, contact your administrator for the required accessibility.
Steps to follow
- Write down the computer and printer network and addresses without showing the passwords.
- Explain to your network administrator that you need printing between these subnets/VLANs.
- Ask to create only the necessary access and check the test sheet after the change. Do not disable guest isolation for everyone.
If the problem persists
Connect the printer and computer to the main local network. The availability of individual subnets or VLANs must be configured by the administrator; don't turn off isolation for the entire guest network just for the press.
