Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Check power, paper, ink, error indicators, USB/Wi-Fi connection, and correct printer selection. Cancel the stuck jobs and try a test page.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Test the printer itself
Run the internal diagnostic sheet; if it does not print, examine the device itself.
Steps to follow
- Refer to the printer model manual for printing a Test page, Print quality report, or internal diagnostic sheet.
- Load the correct paper and run that test from the device's own menu or its official app.
- If the sheet does not print or is also bad, the problem is not only in the document. If the test is good, check the computer driver and the print file; for the color test, the model must support colors.
Computer queue and connection
If the internal test works, cancel the stuck jobs and check for proper recording and USB/Wi-Fi.
Steps to follow
- Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
- Select Bluetooth and devices.
- Select "Printers and Scanners".
- Select your exact printer and "Open Print Queue".
- Select Cancel for a stuck job; wait for it to be uninstalled and verify that the correct device is selected.
- Send one simple test sheet from the program. In Windows 10, start from Devices > Printers and scanners.
Model manager
If there is a connection but Windows printing does not work, check the correct driver for your model.
Steps to follow
- Write down the printer model according to the label.
- On the official website of its manufacturer, select the package supported by your Windows or macOS, download and run the model wizard.
- Connect USB or network only when prompted by the wizard.
- Print a test sheet; if the system or model is not supported, do not install a random driver for another model.
If the problem persists
Print the printer's own diagnostic page according to its menu. If it prints, investigate the computer's queue and connection; if not, the problem may be with the printer itself.
