How to set default printer?

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

1. Windows default selection

   Turn off automatic default control if necessary and set the desired device.

   Steps to follow

   1. Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
   2. Select Bluetooth and devices.
   3. Select "Printers and Scanners".
   4. If you need a permanent selection, turn off the option to let Windows control the default printer.
   5. Select the desired device and "Set as default".
   6. Open the document's Print window and check the suggested name.

2. Selecting a specific program

   If the program still prints elsewhere, check the printer remembered in its Print window.

   Steps to follow

   1. Open your application's File > Print.
   2. In the printer list, select the exact name of the device you want, not Print to PDF or an old copy.
   3. Print one sheet. The program can remember its last selection independently of Windows.
