Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
A stable location, free access and clean sensors are important for finding a stop. Moving the robot during a task can make its orientation worse. First, check that the base is powered and not hidden behind an obstacle.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Base location and power check
Return stable search terms.
Steps to follow
- Check the cable of the station and check that the electrical outlet is working.
- Clear the area in front of the base and on the sides as specified in the manufacturer's manual.
- Clean the outer surfaces of the base and robot return sensors according to the instructions.
- If the base has been moved, check the procedure for updating the map or moving the base for your model.
A return attempt from a short distance
Distinguish general orientation from base detection.
Steps to follow
- Place the stopped robot in front of the base in the free space as allowed by the guide.
- Run the return command and watch if the robot detects the base and enters.
- If up close, run a short quest from the base and let yourself return.
- If it does not detect up close, write down the base and robot models and submit the video for diagnostics.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the base is not detected even close up in a suitable environment, it is necessary to check its signal and the robot's navigation. If the robot enters, but does not charge, this is already a separate problem with the electrical contact.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
