Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Roborock Error 13 is related to charging, but the cause could be the contacts, the base or the robot. Interpret this number based on your Roborock model. Start with power and external contact.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Contact and power check
Do not make electrical measurements near an exposed base.
Steps to follow
- Remove the robot and disconnect the station from the electricity.
- Check the wiring and external contacts for film, dirt or burning.
- Clean the contacts only in the manner allowed in the official instructions of the model; allow the used products to dry completely.
- Connect the base and test the automatic entry on a flat surface.
Catching a recurring error
Separate the loading and return problem.
Steps to follow
- Write down whether the robot detects the base and only then shows Error 13.
- Check that charging occurs only when the robot is moved; do not leave it pressed.
- If the contacts are clean and the error remains, save its time and battery percentage.
- Submit the robot and base together for inspection without attempting to charge the battery from an external source.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If cleaned contacts and stable base position do not help, power diagnostics are required. Do not connect a random base from another Roborock or another brand without checking for compatibility.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
