Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Some keyboards do not recognize certain combinations of multiple keys held down at the same time. This is called rollover or ghosting limitation. If each key works individually, check the specific combination that is problematic first.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Combination check
Try only the keys required for the game.
Steps to follow
- In a text editor, check that each suspect key works individually.
- With the reliable keyviewer, press a combination used in the game, such as move and action together.
- Compare the next combination and note which key is no longer registered.
- Do not enter passwords into the online keyboard test and only test sensitive game control keys.
Control binding or other device
Choose a combination that the keyboard accepts.
Steps to follow
- In the game settings, move the missing action to another convenient key or mouse button.
- Check all the necessary combination in the game, not just the new button separately.
- If you have another keyboard, compare the same combination and separate the game limitation from the device.
- When buying another keyboard, check the rollover support of a specific connection mode; the capabilities of wireless and wired modes may differ.
If the problem persists
If the limitation is specific to the same keyboard and on another computer, choose other game keys or a keyboard with the necessary support. Changing the settings is not guaranteed to change the electrical matrix of the keyboard.
