The robot vacuum dock dust duct is blocked

Troubleshooting guide

How to fix the problem

Jammed hair, paper or large crumbs can block the path between the robot and the stop bag. Repeated loud emptying does not always clear the clog. Clean only user-accessible areas of the channel.

Possible solutions

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

  1. Inspection of the robot side

    Start with the dust box.

    Steps to follow

    1. Stop the robot, turn off and disconnect the power to the station.
    2. Remove and empty the robot box; check its drain valve and hole according to the manual.
    3. Remove loose compacted debris with a soft tool.
    4. Check that the damper moves as intended and is not damaged; don't try to leave it open all the time.
  2. Inspection of the station maintenance cover

Not all bases allow the user to open the entire channel.

    Steps to follow

    1. In the manual, locate the dust channel cleaning section and the exact opening cover if provided.
    2. Just open it, remove the accessible stopper and check the bag.
    3. Close with original gaskets and latches, leaving all safety features in place.
    4. After connecting, check the drain once. If the duct clogs up quickly again, review the box fill and the type of debris being pumped.

Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.

If the problem persists

If the plug is deep in the closed assembly or if the thrust does not return after removing it, call for repair. Do not pour or insert water, compressor air or a metal rod into the duct.

Request a repair

Before you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
