Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Check if the correct driver and the correct printing protocol are installed for the model; try the test page from the manufacturer tool.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
A suitable print driver
Cancel the wrong jobs and check the model driver and protocol.
Steps to follow
- Write down the printer model according to the label.
- On the official website of its manufacturer, select the package supported by your Windows or macOS, download and run the model wizard.
- Connect USB or network only when prompted by the wizard.
- Print a test sheet; if the system or model is not supported, do not install a random driver for another model.
PDF printing as an image
If the problem is only in one PDF and the program allows it, try printing as an image.
Steps to follow
- Open the problematic PDF in a trusted reader and its Print window.
- If the application has Advanced > Print as image, check that option.
- Print one sheet and compare. If the point is not there, do not look for it in the printer firmware - use the model manager method.
If the problem persists
Cancel the jobs that are printing incorrectly and check the driver for your model. If only one PDF has an error, try printing it as an image; this can help isolate the problem with the document.
