Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
In the Shark IQ family, the exact model is important for the mapping functions. Incorrect base location on the plan can be a positioning problem, especially if the base is moved or mapping is incomplete. Check the actual layout first.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Checking the base and the first map
Create constant navigation conditions.
Steps to follow
- Write down the full code for the Shark IQ model and check the Getting Started Guide for it.
- Place the base in the free space provided by the manufacturer and do not move it further.
- Verify that the mapping process is complete and that the base in the plan originally corresponded to the actual location.
- Run a short job from the base and do not move the robot during it.
Room and plan reset check
Do not redesign rooms with obviously incorrect geometry.
Steps to follow
- Check that the correct room is selected in the task and that the passage is not blocked.
- If a good build recovery is supported, try it first after fixing the base.
- If you need a new plan, prepare an open door and only follow your model mapping sequence.
- If the base moves again, submit the before and after plans to support.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the dock repeatedly appears in the wrong place on a completed map, send screenshots and cleaning history to Shark support. Do not assume that another IQ variant’s app features are available on yours.
