Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
An overlapping map can be caused by a moved base, the robot being moved during a mission, or the navigation environment. First remove the cause and only then restore the good version. Not every case requires deleting the entire account.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Base and environment stability
A constant reference point is important for a map.
Steps to follow
- Check that the base has not been moved, rotated or shifted while cleaning the floor.
- Clear access to it and clear accessible navigation sensors.
- Temporarily remove the mirror reflection on the floor or other clear new obstacle to navigation.
- Launch the robot from the base and do not move it during operation.
Restoring the correct version
Don't save obviously wrong room boundaries.
Steps to follow
- Check the previous copy or history recovery function in the map management.
- Select the option with the correct base location and borders if available.
- Run a short test route and let it return automatically.
- If repeated, note where the distortion begins. Create a new map only when the environment and base are fixed.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the map is constantly distorted in the same stationary environment, check the navigation sensors and wheel slippage. Save a photo of the map and cleaning history for service.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
