The robot vacuum leaves sand and crumbs behind

Troubleshooting guide

How to fix the problem

Particles left behind do not always mean a weak motor. They can be thrown by the side brush, missed by the raised main brush, or missed by a route that is too fast. Check the task mode and assembly.

Possible solutions

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

  1. Comparison of mode and route

Check a small area of normal trash.

    Steps to follow

    1. Select vacuum only or vacuum with wash instead of just wash in the app.
    2. Check one free zone with normal crumbs; do not specifically add flour or construction dust.
    3. Select one stronger supported mode and two passes if necessary.
    4. Observe whether the particles are missed or thrown to the side. These results help you choose the next test.
  2. Brush and suction check

Collecting is more important than just having a bigger number in the app.

    Steps to follow

    1. After turning off the robot, clean the main brush and its tips.
    2. Check that the brush cover and rubber edge are correctly installed and undamaged.
    3. If the model raises the brush, check that it descends in suction mode; do not press it with force.
    4. If the particles still remain with the correct details, send a short video and mode information to the service.

Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.

If the problem persists

If the intake port goes over the particles but they remain, check the brush, air path and thrust. If the robot is not going through the area at all, correct the route instead of increasing the suction power for no reason.

Request a repair

Before you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
