Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
The dustbin may not be detected if it is incorrectly fitted, the filter is missing, or a detection component is damaged. Do not use magnets or tape to bypass detection: the robot must operate with the complete, correct dustbin installed.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Reinstalling the box
Check the entire assembly, not just the outer cover.
Steps to follow
- Stop and turn off the robot, remove the box and check its model code.
- Check that the filter and its holder are installed according to the instructions.
- Dry clean external contact or detection surfaces if specified in the manual.
- Install until locking without force and check the status after power on.
Inspection of damage and replaced part
This is especially important if the error occurred after cleaning or replacement.
Steps to follow
- Check the latches of the box, the lid closure and whether a small part of the model has fallen out.
- If a non-original box was included, compare with a known-good box if you still have it.
- Reload in the normal model way without deleting the map.
- If the message remains, ask for box and detection sensor diagnostics instead of bypassing the protection.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the correct dustbin is still not detected after reassembly, have its latches and detection system checked. Choose parts for the exact model: bins that look similar may be different.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
