Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
The front bumper should press down freely and return to its original position. It may be pinched by a small object, transportation protection, or impact deformation. Check the outside, but don't tear the bumper off the body.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Checking clearances and transport details
Start with a stopped robot.
Steps to follow
- Turn off the robot and check that all transport guards on the bumper have been removed according to the manual.
- Inspect the outer gap and remove any visible debris with a soft, dry tool without inserting it deeply.
- Gently press the left, middle and right side of the bumper; compare if it returns everywhere.
- Park in a free space and run one short test without furniture pressure.
Repetition and deformation check
Separate the effect of the collision from the environment.
Steps to follow
- Note if the error started after a bump, running under a piece of furniture, or putting on a new safety accessory.
- Remove only user-added, non-factory decals or accessories that may limit bumper travel.
- Check that the body is not cracked and the bumper is not crooked.
- If the mechanical movement does not recover, do not repeat collisions and refer to diagnostics.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If one side does not return or the error remains without a visible obstacle, a check of the bumper mounts and sensors is required. Spraying oil into the gap can damage plastics and electronics.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
