Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Overcoming the threshold is determined not only by the height, but also by its shape, grip, position of the cloths and approach angle. The manufacturer's maximum height is not a guarantee for any straight edge.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Threshold and wheel check
Compare with model specification.
Steps to follow
- Measure the top edge of the sill in both directions and assess whether it is a right-angled step.
- After turning off the robot, clean the wheel treads and remove hair from the wheels.
- Check that the cloth holder does not catch on the edge; if allowed, compare suction mode only.
- Do the test with one observation. If the robot hangs or knocks hard, do not force it further.
Preparing the right passage
The ramp must be stable and not obstruct people.
Steps to follow
- According to the threshold, choose a sloped non-slip ramp that does not wobble and does not have sharp attachments.
- If the model has a marking of thresholds, set it according to the instruction of the app; it does not change the physical limit.
- Check the pass back and forth without obstacles around.
- If there is no reliable solution, move the robot only when stopped and use a separate suitable map or zone.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the threshold exceeds the model's capabilities, do not increase the speed or force the robot. Choose a stable suitable ramp or manage the rooms separately. Address the risk of slipping on stairs with physical protection.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
