How to fix the problem
A wheel error can be caused by hair, thread or floor obstruction, but also by a malfunction in the wheel drive. First, check that the robot is not hanging on the threshold and that the wheel can move according to its design.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Obstacle removal
Only lift the robot after stopping the task.
Steps to follow
- Stop, turn off, and move away from the threshold or other place where the body is hanging.
- Inspect the edges of both wheels and remove visible threads, wires and hair.
- Gently check the wheel suspension travel according to the manual; keep your fingers away from the gear when it is in operation.
- Place on a smooth, hard floor and run short runs without a hitch.
Repetitive wheel failure check
Compare both sides.
Steps to follow
- Record whether the robot always turns in the same direction and which wheel stays in place.
- Check the tire for a sticky layer or damaged tread.
- If the error only occurs on a specific carpet, temporarily block that area in the app if the feature is supported.
- If the error remains on a free hard surface, send the error text and video to service.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If one wheel does not go back into place, wobbles a lot, or a crunch is heard, the wheel module needs diagnostics. Do not smear the gear with random oil and do not disassemble the closed reducer.
