Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Constant rotation in the same direction may indicate a problem with wheel traction, bumper or sensors. This is different from the short normal reorientation. Check the behavior in a clear free space.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Wheel and bumper inspection
Eliminate mechanical asymmetry.
Steps to follow
- Turn off the robot and remove any visible hair or wires from the wheels.
- Check that one tire is not wet, flat or otherwise losing traction.
- Press gently on different parts of the bumper and check that it returns freely; do not crack the case.
- Place on a dry hard surface with free space and run once.
Comparison of sensors and environment
Separate the location issue from the device issue.
Steps to follow
- Clean the accessible navigation and drop sensor cells according to the manual with a dry, soft cloth.
- Compare another room with no floor-to-ceiling mirrors, direct bright sunlight, and black carpets.
- Reload the robot in the normal model way, saving the map, and repeat the short test.
- If rotation remains, film both wheels and bumper behavior from a safe distance for service.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the robot constantly rotates in the same way even on a flat floor and after external cleaning, wheel, bumper or navigation diagnostics are required. Doing a factory reset before these checks is usually too early.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
