How to fix the problem
Obstacle detection does not guarantee that the robot will see every thin cable, tassel or transparent material. Such items need to be fixed before launch. Pull the included cable only after stopping the device.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Safe release of the included item
Do not allow the drive to continue winding the wire.
Steps to follow
- Stop the task, turn off the robot and safely disconnect the power to the included electrical accessory if necessary.
- According to the manual, remove the user brush and unroll the wire or cloth.
- Inspect the wire insulation and the brush of the robot; do not continue to use damaged parts.
- After assembly, check one short test in a free area.
Environment preparation and recognition settings
Physical handling is more reliable than a software promise alone.
Steps to follow
- Move charging cords, long curtains, toys and carpet tassels out of the way.
- If the model has camera obstacle detection, check that it is turned on and that the lens is clean.
- Light the room properly if the camera requires it; not all bots have this feature.
- Observe the first work in the new environment and delineate the problem areas on the map.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the included cord is damaged, do not use it. If the brush or wheel jams after release, a drive inspection is required. Obstacle recognition errors are not grounds for leaving animal feces or dangerous objects in the robot's path.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
