Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Multi-floor recognition depends on the specific Roborock and app mode. Similar rooms and incorrect transfer sequence can make placement difficult. Check the selected saved plan before work.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Map mode and floor check
Select the appropriate existing map.
Steps to follow
- In the Roborock app, check whether the multi-floor feature is enabled and the number of maps supported.
- Stop work before moving the robot to another floor.
- Select a saved map for that floor or run the default auto-recognition based on the guide.
- Start small and make sure the displayed location is correct before continuing with the entire area.
New floor and base rules
Do not overwrite the first floor plan with another.
Steps to follow
- If you need a new plan, choose to create a new floor, rather than remapping an existing plan.
- Check your model manual for when you need to move the base and when you can work without it on the next floor.
- Check the restricted areas and stairwell protection in each plan, as the boundaries between the plans may not be shared.
- After the test, return to the normal configuration and note at which stage the wrong plan is selected.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the model supports multiple maps but keeps crashing in an open recognizable area, please provide the plans and sequence for support. A robot carried during work is not a reliable test for high recognition.
