Troubleshooting guide

How to fix the problem

Check another browser, VPN and DNS; disable problematic Safari extensions and update macOS.

Possible solutions

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

  1. Another browser or network

Compare the same website to distinguish between a Safari, network, and website issue.

    Steps to follow

    1. Type the address in the browser bar by hand and check the exact domain.
    2. Open another known website, then the front page on your other device.
    3. Compare the front page over your other network, such as mobile internet.
    4. If only one page fails in all tests, the problem may be on its side; if everyone is only on this computer, check its network.
  2. Private window and extensions

Try a private window in Safari and disable the problematic extension.

    Steps to follow

    1. Choose File > New Private Window or Shift+Command+N from the Safari menu.
    2. Open the same website and compare; don't expect her to stay logged in to the account.
    3. In Safari > Settings > Extensions, temporarily disable the related extension and check one by one. If it didn't help, return your required settings.
  3. Single site data

If the problem is only hers, delete only her stored data if necessary; you may need to log in again from your account.

    Steps to follow

    1. First, check that you know the login details for that website: you can log out after removing the details.
    2. Safari > Settings > Privacy select Manage Website Data.
    3. Find only the problematic website, select Remove and Done.
    4. Reopen it in a normal window and check. Remove All is not required for one site.

If the problem persists

Try a private Safari window and compare a specific website to another network. Delete website data only for her if necessary; this may log you out of your account.
