How do I connect Bluetooth headphones?

Topic #028 · Updated · Pataisoma.lt

Troubleshooting guide

How to fix the problem

In Windows 11, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Add a device > Bluetooth; Windows 10 - Devices > Bluetooth and other devices. Charge the headphones, enter pairing mode according to their instructions, and select them from the list. After pairing, go to System > Sound to check the output. The headset may remain connected to the phone, so disconnect it temporarily.

Possible solutions

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

  1. New Bluetooth pairing

Charge the headset, put it in pairing mode and add it through the Windows Bluetooth settings.

    Steps to follow

    1. Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
    2. Select Bluetooth and devices.
    3. Charge the headset and according to its manual, hold the pairing button until the pairing mode enters.
    4. In Windows, select Add a device > Bluetooth.
    5. Click on the exact name of the headset in the list, complete the pairing and test the sound.
  2. Removing a previous connection

If pairing fails, disconnect the headset from the phone and re-add only its Windows entry.

    Steps to follow

    1. Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
    2. Select Bluetooth and devices.
    3. On your phone or other device that uses the headphones, disconnect them from Bluetooth.
    4. In Windows, next to these headphones, click the three dots and "Remove device". Do not delete other entries.
    5. Turn the headphones back into pairing mode and add them via Add Device > Bluetooth.
  3. Audio output selection

If the headphones are paired but silent, select them as the output in System > Sound.

    Steps to follow

    1. Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
    2. Select "System".
    3. Select "Sound".
    4. In the Output section, click the headphones or speakers you want.
    5. Turn up the volume and play a familiar audio track.
    6. If the device isn't there, go back to plugging it in or Bluetooth pairing instead of choosing a random output.

If the problem persists

Disconnect the headphones from your phone or other device using them. Remove the bluetooth record of this headset only and re-pair; make sure they are charged and in pairing mode.
