Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Check the Bluetooth adapter in the device manager, install the manufacturer's driver, make sure the computer supports Bluetooth.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Bluetooth capability check
Check if the computer physically has a Bluetooth adapter; without it there will be no soft switch.
Steps to follow
- Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
- Search for a Bluetooth group and check if the device is discoverable; note the error sign if any.
- Check your computer's official specification for Bluetooth support. If it is not physically present, a suitable adapter is required, not enabling the setting.
Adapter driver
If it is detected with an error, install the model-specific Bluetooth package.
Steps to follow
- Note down the exact computer model from the sticker or Settings > System > About.
- Open the official support page of the computer manufacturer, enter the model and select the version of Windows installed.
- Download the following package: Graphics, Sound, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB/Chip or Special Keys. Don't use generic "all drivers" sites.
- Run the downloaded installation file, run the manufacturer's wizard and reboot if prompted.
- Try the function that didn't work again. If there is no network, download the package on another device and transfer to USB.
If the problem persists
If the Bluetooth device displays an error code, write it down and install the manufacturer's package. A PC without Bluetooth requires a compatible adapter, not just a Windows setup.
