Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Bluetooth audio may experience delays due to encoding, buffering, and connection characteristics. The video player sometimes compensates for the lag and the game cannot. First, determine if it's a constant lag or a choppy connection.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Wired audio comparison
Determine if the delay is the application itself or the wireless path.
Steps to follow
- Choose one place in the game or video where the mismatch between sound and action is clearly visible.
- Repeat it with Bluetooth headphones after closing unnecessary audio applications.
- Compare the same with wired headphones or computer speakers.
- If all devices are lagging, check the application and system load. If only Bluetooth, proceed to the connection test.
Connection and mode check
Reduce additional wireless barriers.
Steps to follow
- Disconnect the headset from the second phone or computer if using multi-device mode.
- Bring the headset closer to the computer and check for a noticeable crackle.
- If the headphones have an official low-latency mode, enable it according to the instructions and compare the sound quality and stability.
- If constant lag remains, choose a wired or special radio adapter connection for gaming. A video player's sync offset is only valid for that player.
If the problem persists
If the delay is only in one app, check its sound options. If it's Bluetooth only and the wired audio is synchronous, the most reliable low-latency solution may be a connection method other than Windows Rewrite.
