Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Check statuses of power/WAN indicators, internet on other devices and login to administration page; no connection to the provider is not the same as no Wi-Fi.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Local network check
Check the power, LAN cable and access to the administration page.
Steps to follow
- Check the router's power indicators and cable connection.
- Connect to your local network; In Windows ipconfig find Default Gateway, Mac Wi-Fi Details > TCP/IP - Router.
- Enter the address of your router in the browser bar and check if its manual administration is available. If the page is working, local connection can be good even without internet.
WAN and provider verification
If the LAN is working but the Internet is not, check the WAN status and contact your provider.
Steps to follow
- See the model manual for what the color of the WAN/Internet indicator means without interpreting it based on another model.
- If you have administrative rights, view the WAN status without changing the provider login.
- Write down the time of the failure and whether the local network is working, then contact the supplier. Do not press the reset button as a reboot.
If the problem persists
If the administration page is available but the Internet is not, check the WAN connection and provider status. If the local network is also not working, check the power supply and cables; leave the reset for the last step.
