How to fix the problem
The smell often accumulates in the dirty water tank, washing tray or permanently wet cloths. Deodorant alone does not eliminate the cause and can damage the water system. Clean the user parts first.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Cleaning the wastewater tank and tray
Do not store dirty water for a long time.
Steps to follow
- Stop the robot and empty the dirty water tank according to the manual.
- Wash the permitted removable parts, especially the corners, the inside of the lid and the user filter.
- Clean the residue from the washing tray without spilling the electronics of the station itself.
- Collect correctly and empty the tank more often after cleaning, especially in a warm room.
Cloth drying check
Moisture may remain even after the work is finished.
Steps to follow
- Check that automatic drying is activated and that the cloths are actually drier after the set time.
- If there is no automatic drying, remove the fabrics and dry according to the instructions.
- Do not store wet tissues in a sealed bag or use unauthorized fragrances in the tank.
- If the odor quickly returns from a closed waterway after proper cleaning, call for maintenance or repair.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the smell is reminiscent of burning or melting plastic, turn off the base and do not run new cycles. If the sewer odor is coming from a system connected to the plumbing, a proper installation check is required.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
