Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
The high resolution and frame rate of the USB camera requires more USB bandwidth. If the low resolution works and the high resolution crashes, it is worth checking the connection standard, cable and other devices connected to the same hub.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Smaller Image Mode Comparison
Check if the problem depends on the amount of data.
Steps to follow
- Note down the current resolution and FPS in your camera or calling app.
- Temporarily select 1080p or 720p and a lower supported framerate.
- Repeat the same test recording. Also monitor your computer's CPU load in Task Manager.
- If the lower mode is stable, check the USB circuit and the official camera mode table.
Direct high-speed USB connection
Remove common hub restriction.
Steps to follow
- Connect the camera directly to a computer USB port of the standard required by the manufacturer.
- Use an original or equivalent data cable of the required speed, not just a charging cable.
- Temporarily disconnect drives, other cameras and video adapters on the same circuit.
- Return to the desired supported resolution and try again. If it only crashes through a specific dock, leave the camera in direct connection or select a suitable dock.
If the problem persists
If the camera freezes and directly with the correct cable, check its manufacturer's driver and supported modes. 4K inscription does not always mean that the desired high number of frames is supported at the same time.
