Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
The side brush may be covered in hair, incorrectly attached, or programmed to stop in a certain mode. If it does not work normally when vacuuming hard floors, check the mounting and drive.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Removal of available hair
Only clean the robot when it is stopped and switched off.
Steps to follow
- Remove the side brush according to the manual if it is user removable.
- Remove the hair under its center and around the axle without dismantling the drive housing.
- Check that the brush is not bent and resting on the housing or the wrong guard.
- Attach as originally intended and test for short suction on hard floors.
Checking the working mode and the spare part
Not every pause is a failure.
Steps to follow
- Check the manual to see if the model raises or stops the side brush during wash, carpet or return.
- Compare normal suction in the middle of the room and along an accessible wall.
- If the brush has recently been replaced, check its fitting code and shape with the model manual.
- If its movement is not in all allowed modes, record a video for service.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the brush does not move at all after the allowable cleaning in a normal cleaning task, a drive inspection is required. Do not force it into a powered robot or use a longer screw from another model.
