Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
A rattling sound after replacing a part is often related to a bad fastener or part. First, compare with the previous configuration if the old part is still intact. High slack is not normal earning.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Correct assembly
Check the cap and brush ends.
Steps to follow
- Turn off the robot and remove the replaced brush according to the instructions.
- Check that all the rear brackets of his model remain and are not installed backwards.
- Remove the debris from the slots, insert in the correct direction and close both lid latches.
- Briefly test on a level floor without carpet, listening to see if the sound changes.
Comparison of the right part
Separate part tolerance from robot failure.
Steps to follow
- Compare the part number with the spare parts listed by the manufacturer, not just the ad photo.
- If the old part is mechanically sound, after turning off the robot, return it for a short comparison.
- If the old one is silent, the new one is probably unsuitable or defective; contact your dealer for replacement.
- If both rattle, stop operation and have the mounting and drive assembly checked by a service center.
Features, menus and error codes depend on the exact robot and dock model and software version. Instructions for another series may not apply.
If the problem persists
If the sound remains even with a known correct part, you need to check the brush sockets and the drive. Do not use glue, spacers or wraps on the rotating area.
Request a repairBefore you begin: Before maintenance, stop and switch off the robot and unplug the dock. Do not touch moving parts during operation. If liquid reaches electrical components or the battery is damaged, do not power the device on again until it has been inspected.
