Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Disconnect peripherals, check power supply and BIOS errors. If it repeats, PSU/RAM/MB diagnostics may be needed.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Peripheral disconnection
Compare booting without USB and other peripherals.
Steps to follow
- Save the documents and shut down the computer normally.
- Disconnect unnecessary USB drives, hubs, docks and other recently connected accessories. Leave the power supply, display and necessary keyboard.
- Turn it on and repeat the action that caused the failure.
- If it works now, turn it off and plug in the accessories one by one and try each one. This will determine which device the problem is returning with.
Power and RAM check
If it repeats without accessories, power, memory or board diagnostics are required as appropriate.
Steps to follow
- Save important files if your computer or drive is stable. If it makes unusual noises, smells like burning or the battery is swollen, stop testing.
- Write down the exact pattern of when the problem started and what action it took to reoccur. Take a picture of the visible error or deformation without opening the case.
- Submit a repair request with this information.
If the problem persists
Check if the problem occurs only after completely disconnecting the power. Keep the previous BIOS settings; Do not replace the PSU, RAM or motherboard based on this symptom alone.
