Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Four DDR5 modules put more stress on the processor's memory controller than two. The advertised frequency of a two-module set is not necessarily available when all slots are filled. Aim for a stable boot in standard mode first.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Running without EXPO or XMP
Separate the influence of module quantity and acceleration.
Steps to follow
- If it doesn't work with four, turn off and remove the power and return the two previously working modules to the recommended slots.
- In the BIOS memory profile box, turn off EXPO / XMP, leave the standard Auto mode. Do not change storage and boot settings.
- Save, turn off and assemble all four modules according to the guide.
- Turn on and wait for the documented training. If it fails, check the total amount and run the memory test in standard mode.
Checking the matched set
Identical inscriptions on two sets do not guarantee joint operation.
Steps to follow
- Photograph the labels on all modules and compare the full model and kit codes.
- Check the board manufacturer's list of supported memories to see if the kit has been tested with four modules, not just two.
- Check the supported memory mode in the processor specification after filling all the slots.
- If the configuration is not supported, use the stable version of the kit or choose a larger capacity tuned kit; do not raise the tension arbitrarily.
If the problem persists
If four modules do not work at the supported standard frequency, check the exact kit codes and memory list of the board. For large amounts of RAM, one proven set of two higher-capacity modules is often better than two separate sets.
