The AIO makes a bubbling noise that changes with the case position

Troubleshooting guide

How to fix the problem

Bubbling in an AIO cooler can be caused by circulating air, but the sound itself does not indicate a pump failure. It is important whether the temperature rises at the same time, the revolutions disappear and whether the system is installed according to the manufacturer's scheme.

Possible solutions

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

  1. Comparison of sound and temperature

Distinguish between a brief sound after a transfer and a permanent disturbance.

    Steps to follow

    1. Place the computer in a normal stable position and note if the sound occurs after transporting it.
    2. Check the CPU temperature and pump rpm through the manufacturer's program or BIOS if they are transmitted.
    3. If the temperature rises quickly or the pump does not work, turn it off. Don't run a load just to make the sound stand out.
    4. If the cooling is normal, briefly record the sound with the phone and compare it with the manufacturer's permitted operating characteristics.
  2. Checking the position of the radiator

    Check your specific AIO scheme.

    Steps to follow

    1. With the power off and unplugged, see where the radiator, pump, and hoses are at their highest points.
    2. Refer to the chiller manual for permitted mounting positions. In different AIOs, the pump may be in a different location.
    3. If the installation is not correct, an experienced assembler should move the assembly according to the instructions without breaking the hoses.
    4. After the fix, check the sound and temperature at rest. If the noise and heating remain, ask for warranty or replacement.

If the problem persists

If the noise gets louder, the cooling gets worse, or you see leaks, shut down the computer and ask for an assembly replacement. Do not open the closed system, do not add or shake the computer while it is running.
