Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
This code indicates the termination of a critical Windows process, but does not tell one reason. If the system starts, save a copy of the files, check the storage status and the last update. Check system files with DISM, then SFC. If it does not start, use the recovery environment; don't fix a broken disk with reinstalls.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Repairing system files
If Windows is running and the drive is stable, run DISM, then SFC in an admin terminal.
Steps to follow
- Click on Start and type "cmd" in the search.
- Select "Run as administrator" and confirm if prompted.
- Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter.
- Wait for the completion and success message; do not close the window.
- In the same window, type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
- When the check is complete, write down the result, reboot and repeat the problem. If the first command returns an error, pass its text to the master; do not apply bootloader to Windows in the /Online recovery environment.
Update or restore options
If the system does not boot after the update, use the recovery environment after saving the files and key.
Steps to follow
- First, save the files and prepare the BitLocker key. Open Windows Recovery Environment via Shift+Restart or Recovery USB > Repair PC.
- Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore.
- If there is a point before the crash, review the date and affected apps before confirming. If there is no dot, skip this method.
- Wait for completion and check if Windows starts. It is not a substitute for backing up your documents.
SSD health assessment
In case of simultaneous disk loss or read errors, priority is given to data recovery and hardware.
Steps to follow
- If the drive disappears, cracks or files are wrong when copying, don't do a long test - first a copy or a professional recovery evaluation.
- In a stable Windows Start, right-click > Device Manager > Disk Devices, and write down the exact model of the disk.
- On the official website of its manufacturer, find the health viewer for the model and open only information or health status.
- Write down warnings, do not try erasure, firmware or long tests. Even the good condition of the SMART does not rule out all problems; give the result to the master.
If the problem persists
If Windows starts, first copy important files and assess the health of the disk. If it does not start, use the recovery environment; restoring the backup must not overwrite the only surviving version of the files.
