Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Check the USB/Wi-Fi connection and the manufacturer's scanning software, install the scanner driver and try Windows Scan.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Manufacturer scan program
Check the connection and model scan package, not just the print driver.
Steps to follow
- According to the model, download the manufacturer's scan-not-only-print package from the official website.
- Install according to the wizard, turn on the device and select the desired scanner in its application.
- Load the test document with the side indicated in the manual and press Preview/Scan. If not found, compare the connection.
Windows Scan or USB test
Compare Windows Scan and Direct USB if supported; network isolation can block detection.
Steps to follow
- If you have the official Windows Scan program, open it and select a detectable scanner.
- Load the document, select preview and scan, check the saved file.
- If not detected on the network, compare directly using the USB connection allowed by the model. If the USB works, check the network isolation, not just the scanner mechanism.
If the problem persists
Try scanning in the manufacturer's software and verify that a driver for scanning, not just printing, is installed. Wi-Fi scanning can be blocked by network isolation; compare with USB.
