Out of video memory error

Possible solutions

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

1. Textures and resolution reduction

   If GPU memory is limited, reduce texture quality and resolution.

   Steps to follow

   1. Open the game's Settings/Options and Graphics/Video menu.
   2. First, reduce the quality of the textures, especially for the GPU memory error; select a lower resolution if necessary.
   3. Change one parameter, click Apply and play the same game scene.
   4. If it improves, leave the working value. If there is no improvement, return the change and check another reason; the monitor's Hz FPS does not increase.

2. Closing non-essential GPU applications

   Close other graphics programs and check game files and update.

   Steps to follow

   1. Save your work and close unnecessary browser, graphics or recording windows.
   2. In the game launch or recording program, temporarily disable the additional overlay (overlay) you are using, if you know its switch.
   3. Play the same scene and compare. If it did not help, return the setting; do not disable security programs.

3. Stability diagnostics

   If the error persists even with a light configuration, check the driver and known changes for CPU/RAM acceleration.

   Steps to follow

   1. Use this method only if you have previously changed the settings of the processor, video card or RAM acceleration yourself.
   2. Open the same manufacturer program or BIOS menu where you made the change; take a picture of the current value.
   3. Return only your modified frequency, voltage or XMP/EXPO profile to the previous standard mode. Do not select BIOS full reset.
   4. Save and compare performance without acceleration. If you do not know the settings, leave this change to the master; have BitLocker key before BIOS steps.
