Troubleshooting guide

How to fix the problem

Enable automatic time/time zone; an incorrect clock can interfere with HTTPS certificate validation.

Possible solutions

Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.

  1. Automatic time and zone

Turn on time synchronization and check the correct zone.

    Steps to follow

    1. Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
    2. Select "Time and Language".
    3. Select "Date and Time".
    4. Turn on automatic time setting and check the correct time zone.
    5. If "Sync Now" is available, use with working internet.
    6. Reboot and check if the time remains correct. If not, note whether the date or just the zone has changed.
  2. BIOS clock check

If the date crashes again after power off, compare BIOS date and CMOS power.

    Steps to follow

    1. Write down the correct date in Windows and shut down normally.
    2. According to the model manual, open BIOS/UEFI next power on and see its date without changing the settings.
    3. If the BIOS date is off after power off, take it to a technician for CMOS power check. If correct, check Windows time and zone.

If the problem persists

If the date is still bad after the reboot, compare the BIOS time and the Windows time zone. The right zone and the right time are both important; Don't bypass the HTTPS warning just to get the page to open.
