Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Mouse > Pointer Speed.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Windows cursor speed
Choose a comfortable cursor speed in the mouse settings.
Steps to follow
- Press the Windows logo key and I together on your keyboard to open Settings.
- Select Bluetooth and devices.
- Select "Mouse".
- Move "Mouse Pointer Speed" in small increments.
- Move your mouse and compare; the speed of the touchpad is controlled separately.
Mouse DPI setting
If the Windows replacement is not enough, check the mouse DPI button or the manufacturer's official program.
Steps to follow
- Look to see if the mouse has a DPI button, often next to the wheel. Check the model manual for its purpose.
- Click once and compare the movement of the cursor; do not fix yourself in an uncomfortable mode.
- If a program is detected, use only the official control tool of the mouse manufacturer and change the DPI in it.
If the problem persists
If the speed is still not correct, check the DPI button of the mouse itself or the manufacturer's program. The speed of the touchpad is changed separately from the mouse.
