How to fix the problem
Command+Shift+5 to open the screen capture tool, select the whole screen or area and Record. In Options, select the save location and microphone if you want voice. Finish with the Stop button on the menu bar. Microphone selection does not in itself guarantee internal audio recording of programs; evaluate the capabilities of the recorder for its need.
If the problem persists
In Options, select the microphone and save location. If you need internal application audio, consider the capabilities of the recording application - turning on the microphone does not automatically mean recording system audio.
