Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Memory test errors only after turning on EXPO / XMP indicate unstable operation of the selected configuration. This does not necessarily mean a physically faulty RAM module: the profile, BIOS, the CPU controller and the amount of modules have an effect.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Comparison of the same test without the profile
Compare equal testing with one replacement.
Steps to follow
- Save data and photo of memory test errors with profile used.
- BIOS turn off EXPO / XMP leaving standard memory values. Do not change other acceleration settings at the same time.
- Run the same official source memory checker and let it complete the intended cycles.
- If the result is error-free, use standard mode for now and check profile compatibility.
Configuration verification and module testing
Diagnose beyond the red test line alone.
Steps to follow
- Check that the modules are one set and placed in the slots specified in the board manual.
- Check CPU, motherboard and RAM amount support and BIOS memory patches.
- If there are errors even without the profile, test one module at a time in the same recommended slot with power off.
- If the results depend on the slot or the entire channel, check the board and CPU as well, not just changing the RAM.
If the problem persists
If the errors are repeated in standard mode, proceed to the separation of modules and sockets. Don't work on single copies of important files with faulty memory. A photo of the test screen and the exact codes of the kit help with warranty diagnostics.
