How to fix the problem
In a running Windows, launch Terminal or Command Prompt as administrator. First run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and wait for completion; after successful completion - sfc /scannow. DISM may require the Internet or a suitable recovery source. These commands repair Windows components and system files, but not a failed SSD, RAM, or programs. Do not turn off the computer during the test.
If the problem persists
If DISM or SFC returns an error, make a note of the exact message and make sure the terminal is running with administrator rights. Do not run the /Online command in a recovery environment in hopes of repairing a non-booting Windows installation.
