Troubleshooting guide
How to fix the problem
Open Phone Link and follow the instructions; features vary by Android or iPhone.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Phone pairing
Follow the wizard in Phone Link after checking your phone's permissions and the required Bluetooth connection.
Steps to follow
- Open Phone Link in the Windows Start search.
- Select Android or iPhone in the wizard and follow the instructions for your phone.
- Open the offered official pairing app or setting on your phone, confirm the code and only necessary permissions.
- Try one supported feature; feature lists differ between Android and iPhone.
Transferring files via USB
If you only need files and the phone supports it, use a data cable and the correct phone USB mode.
Steps to follow
- Connect your unlocked phone with a USB data cable.
- On your phone, confirm the permission to the computer or select "File transfer" if your phone offers it.
- In Windows File Explorer, look at the phone's storage through "This PC" and copy, not delete, the files you need.
- If the model does not appear here or does not support this mode, use its official porting tool; the charging cable may not transfer data.
If the problem persists
Check Bluetooth, required phone permissions and updates for both apps. If the goal is to transfer files, you can use a USB cable with data transfer and select the appropriate mode on your phone.
