How to fix the problem
Win+Tab create a new desktop; Ctrl+Win+arrows switch between desktops.
Possible solutions
Choose the method that matches your situation. Start with the simplest suitable option and check the result. If the problem is fixed, you do not need to continue with the other methods.
Switching desktops with keys
After creating an additional desktop, use Ctrl+Win+arrow.
Steps to follow
- Press Windows and Tab, then "New Desktop" if there is only one desktop.
- Hold down Ctrl and Windows, press the left or right arrow.
- Check if you have switched to another desktop; if the combination is being taken over by a remote application, select task view with the mouse.
Task view
Win+Tab open the list of desktops and select with the mouse if the combination is taken over by another program.
Steps to follow
- Press Windows and Tab.
- Select the desired desktop from the desktop bar or create a new one.
- Click on the window there and continue working; closing the desktop is not shutting down the computer.
If the problem persists
Win+Tab check if more than one desktop is created. If the keys don't work, they can be taken over by a remote control or another program; try switching with the mouse.
